Most people would be glad to be coming to the Vineyard on one of the best weekends of the summer so far, but I was happy to be heading to Boston to refresh myself with friends and music.
This view means I'm getting close to my old stomping grounds - Broad Street, home of The Littlest (now defunct, as you will soon see), and its replacement across the street, The Broadside.
A little three-generation pre-session warm-up at the Broadside.
Finbar's first session.
The usual suspects.
Meanwhile, across the street, the former home of one of the best sessions in Boston bites the dust; oh, the memories; oh, the music.
No place better than downtown Boston on a summer Saturday night.
Sunday morning, heading back to Boston from Quincy, the sun-worshipers are assembling at Wollaston Beach.
The object of my Sunday morning desire: St. Paul's Harvard Square.
Then onward to Hennessey's.
Followed by the Burren. Father and daughter on Father's Day.
Headed home on the Island Home.
The new ferry - Woods Hole.
